IMAGINE …If every Minnesotan shared with their local food shelf…The idea is so simple. What if we all shared what we could with our local food shelf? Minnesota Foodshare has run the March Food Drive campaign for 26 years, bringing faith communities, schools, businesses, and civic groups together to collect and distribute food and funds to local food shelves.
NEAR Food Shelf
Have you ever gone to bed hungry, with no food in the house? Many of our neighbors do. The NEAR food shelf is asking First Lutheran to help raise awareness of hunger in the Cities. Bring donations of canned goods, staples, or finances. Place your contributions in the containers located in the Narthex and in the church office. Let’s set a new record for our generosity. Thank you for caring about our community.
Minnesota Food Share
Minnesota Food Share is another way to help those who are hungry. During the month of March, pounds of food and money will be matched. This influx will help keep food shelves stocked through the summer. Money donations are greatly appreciated because they can get a volume discount from Feeding America.
