Altar Guild

Creative Crafters

Meets the second Saturday of each month, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We provide a great space, big tables and time to work on crafts and socialize. Open to all types of crafters: scrapbooking, rubber stamping, needle craft, painting, card making, and more. If you are especially passionate about a craft, you may arrange a time to come and teach it to the rest of the group. Or, if there’s a craft you want to learn, connect with others who can help you along. No registration required.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

First Lutheran Church partners with the Winnetka Learning Center (WLC) as a host site for English As A Second Language. WLC provides instructors for the course. First Lutheran provides free child care and assistants for the WLC instructors.

Morning and evening classes:

Monday and Wednesday, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
An informal grief support group for people who are experiencing loss. We open with devotions and discussion and share our feelings and experiences in an accepting, confidential setting.
